Hello friends,
Welcome to Ajisth’s Momstyle.
One thing that we wish for everyone is a healthy life. When we mention healthy, it implies that the person is physically active and is free from harmful diseases since diseases can ruin a person’s health & fitness. However, we know that it is practically impossible since the situations outside our house/neighborhood surroundings are not under our control. If the surroundings are not clean, there is a high possibility of mosquitoes breeding in that area and this gives rise to mosquito-borne diseases. Some of the common mosquito-borne diseases are Malaria, Chikungunya, Dengue, etc. which are commonly known and you might know about the symptoms & prevention measures of the same. However, there are some diseases like Japanese encephalitis which is rare and you should be prepared in advance about the preventive measures since it is better to be prepared in advance. Today, we have a look at Japanese encephalitis, symptoms, and preventive measures.
Japanese encephalitis is a mosquito-borne disease that is caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus & spread by the Cutex Mosquito. The virus first infects animals like pigs & birds like heron, egrets, etc. Humans are the accidental host of the virus since humans are not the actual carriers of the virus. Feeding mosquitoes cannot pick the virus from an infected person. This category of fever is predominantly seen in rural parts of Asia.
This disease does not show any symptoms. In rare cases, the infection may cause problems like headache, meningitis, etc. The other encephalitis symptoms are tremors in the body, neck stiffness, and fever. If Japanese encephalitis is not treated on time, it can also cause damage to the nervous system or death.
As far as the diagnosis is concerned, the Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) of the person who might have got this disease needs to be examined. There is no specific treatment of the disease. Pain relievers and plenty of fluids are given to the patient. In case neurological symptoms are observed in a patient, he is admitted to a hospital for further treatment. You should also consume healthy food and consume water at regular intervals so that you are hydrated. Vaccination to cure Japanese encephalitis is available and it is advised to be consumed for a period of 2 months.
Now that you know about the symptoms of Japanese encephalitis and some of the mechanisms in which this disease can be diagnosed & treated, we have a look at the ‘ideal preventive measures’ for Japanese Encephalitis. Japanese encephalitis can occur due to Culex mosquito bites which can be found indoors as well as outdoors. So, you would need complete protection to fight those mosquitoes. You should make use of Mosquito repellents that are safe & reliable from a company like Goodknight. You could make use of Goodknight Activ+ or Goodknight Fast Card that would protect you from harmful mosquito bites when you relaxing at home. Things are more controlled when you are at home, but you also could come in contact with that disease when you are outdoors. For outdoor protection, you can make use of mobile protection like Goodknight Fabric Roll-On or Goodknight Cool Gel/patches. You have to simply apply the same on your clothes and it would protect you from mosquito bites since they cannot enter in your vicinity.
Always make sure that you have the right information about diseases so that you best prepared for those situations since tension might take control of your emotions during that time.
